Strip Down

Adversity and challenging circumstances reveal who we truly are. Who are we truly at our core? When WE strip away all the titles and possessions, what is left? Adversity challenges our faith and affords us the opportunity to put into practice our core values. What we feed our spirit will reveal itself in times of struggle.

1 Peter 2:2 2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby... Whatever you feed will grow. Begin to study yourself and see what comes to the surface in the moment that a challenge is presented. Is it anger, fear or compassion, peace and understanding? When those negative feelings begin to rear their heads, take three releasing breaths... and remember that God allowed whatever is happening in your life....to happen... remember that He will never give you more than we can handle.

But what did you learn during the circumstance? Most importantly, what did you learn about yourself? This life is a continuous process and journey. We don't always get it right, but we must learn to trust the process, breathe, and know that God wastes nothing! James 1:2-4

Profiting from Trials

2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces [a]patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
